It took months of calls to figure out how to put together a chain of events that would get the Airstream here. Its tires were long disintegrated, so I had to find a tire shop that would go replace them. Then I tracked down an RV repair guy who would go pull it to a repair shop to get bearings, brakes, battery, break-away and some exterior lights in order for it to be ready to make the trip from Texas to Washington. Last but not least I found a transport company that was experienced in relocating vintage Airstreams. It wasn’t cheap, but it finally arrived on March 17. 2020. I didn’t know it at the time, but two days later we were to be put under stay-at-home orders due to coronavirus. I’m so glad it made it here before then.
